Lobsters obviously have structures and more than one limb making them apart of the arthropod phylum. The respiratory system for the lobster begins with their gills. The way that lobsters breathe is through their gills. In addition, blood travels through the gills to other parts of the bodies in order to gain oxygen for the lobster. For a human the respiratory system for a human helps circulate the oxygen in order for the brain to have oxygen to function. The lobster’s respiratory system circulates water helping it to circulate when it is underwater. Although lobsters can survive underwater it can only be for a short period of time. Usually after two days the lobster must need oxygen to survive. Lobsters have a similar respiratory system to a human but instead they can survive underwater and have gills.
